ye you're right brad i also feel the same way and i workout even more just to divert my attention, but friends say it's just seasonal depression (what i'm in), i feel this whenever i'm alone at my flat. but it's good that i'm not the type who really needs the doctor's help and all that medication.how about you?

i do exercise when i feel down. i do yoga as well, and i highly recommend it for people who are depressed. yoga does help you physically, mentally, spiritually and all. i hope you're ok though.

talking to a friend sure relieves the depression. For how long have you been experiencing this brad? If it goes on for weeks or months you shouldn't ignore this, talking to a doctor will be a great move so he can prescribe anti depressant pills for you

hi! i'm totally not for anti-depressants, actually, i try to avoid medications (no offense j_gal). but if exercising and talking to people who would care to listen and help you out doesnt work, you do have to go to a therapist to find out what it is that's making you feel so down.

When I'm depress, I usually go out with some of my friends, shopping, drink some coffee, or sometimes ask advice from them. They are the ones who makes me feel happy whenever I'm down.

when i'm depressed i tend to eat but i'm trying to overcome that. actually, workingout when you're depressed is good bec. your body creates endorphins which is a chemical that makes us feel better.

most people keep themselves busy when they feel depressed, don't they? it must keep their minds off things.
when i feel down, i go grab a beer with some friends. if they're busy, i watch movies. i like watching movies in a movie house or in dvds. or if i just want to keep myself busy, i jog. in that way, i hit two birds with one stone, keeping fit and getting busy

I am into meditation and usually that's what I do. I believe that stressing out will only shorten my life and make me unhealthy. If I feel like I'm depressed I rest for about 20 min. doing nothing. Usually this method works and I think resting is the best way to overcome depression.

when i feel depressed i usually sleeps it off.
Sleep allows are body and mind to cool down plus for me it helps me kinda "forget" in some way the things that made me depressed in the first place.
If i just sit on a corner i will just linger on the situation and further agrevate the matter so i just take a nap and if its a problem, solve it upon waking up.
