are the calorie counter in treadmills credible? I notice, when I'm in the gym it shows a different calorie count compared to my equipment at home?

Honestly, I don't really trust these counters, I guess it just serves as an approximation of what we do..

Hmm.. I really can't tell the difference since I don't have any home gym equipment at home.. I basically rely on equipment at the fitness gym I go to and so far it seem okay.

Heya Hailey_dn!!! I definitely agree with Laura.. in general I don't really trust these calculatrs, just as long as I have an estimate of how much I've burned or how much I gained then that's fine with me, I guess in some ways I still have an idea if i am on the right track or what.

If you want a more accurate count buy a heart rate monitor. Some heart rate monitors count calories, heart rate, target heart rate, and distance. So when you are working out without a machine, you can still have feed back from your monitor.
