Can you suggest some protein supplements? Lately, I noticed that I lack the energy to get up in the morning, I usually go to bed at around 12midnight and wake up at 6am and head straight to the gym.

hi there, supplements such as pills wouldn't really guarantee to bring you all the energy you need. So it's still better to focus on having a healthy diet, I guess it's the best approach to your problem.

I think a good balanced diet will be a good thing to start of to bring your energy back, and maybe you can try to sleep a little bit earlier.. Just a suggestion..

Well you can try eating whitemeat. What I mean is you can try eating seafoods or meat that are high in protein. You can try eating swordfish, chicken, or salmon...

i think you should have a balanced diet and you shouldn't depend on workingout alone. you should also try to sleep more bec. sleep deprivation or lack of sleep can make you gain weight...

I won't suggest supplements because I believe that through a balance diet, your body can survive the strain of working out. Supplements are artificial. Besides the extra cost it will bring you there is still no assurance that it is healthy to depend on them. Eat right, eat healthy and you will definitely be fine.

Everyone gave pretty good advice. First of all, a protein shake is not really for energy. It is called protein supplementation because it can be used in place of a meal. Carbs is your body first source of energy. Protein shakes are pretty much the only supplement that I use. It is very useful when you are busy to make sure you eat regularly. It also is very important after you workout because it gets to your muscles faster than food. Of course natural food is great, but protein shakes are excellent to use post workout. If you don't have much energy in the morning, you might want to consider eating oat meal. Also, you mgiht want to try an extra hour of sleep. You are only getting six hours.
Hope all of us has helped you in some capacity. if you have any other questions, you are welcome to let us know.

Please don't rely on synthetically made supplements. I believe that If you really want to be fit and the main reason why you work out in the first place is to live a healthy long life then I suggest rely on the natural side. A good regular routine and a balance diet will just do the trick.

Just because you use a protein supplement doesn't mean you rely on it. It is just another method of getting protein in. Being that it is in liquid form, the body can digest it faster than food. This is why it is best used after a workout.
Of course protein shakes should not take the place of your meal but one a day is a perfect way supplementing your diet.
'Healthy diets should regularly include high quality, low fat sources of protein, like whey protein. Calories do count and you want to make sure that you are getting the most benefit from the calories you consume. Compared to other proteins, on a gram-to-gram basis whey protein isolate delivers more essential amino acids to the body but without the fat or cholesterol. Nutrition experts recommend a diet with a variety of protein foods but for optimal results make sure that one of them is whey protein. I use protein shake supplementation to make sure I get enough protein for before and after my workouts. This helps repair your damaged tissues quicker and perhaps allow you to build muscle a little quicker as well. There is nothing wrong with drinking whey protein isolate shakes and I really recommend it for people who are strength training regularly..
That is pretty much the only supplement I use but I am considering trying CREATINE supplements..
What are people's experiences with using CREATINE in terms of before usage and after usage? Side Effects if any..

Why do you want to take creatine? Just curious?

Well all the reading I do on CREATINE suggests an increased power pool which translates into more reps which further translates into more muscle i.e better return per rep ;)
I am not sold on the idea however but I am tempted to try it out..
P.S BTW LT, those body builder pics of you are insane, dude you are ripped. I don't want to build like that I just want a fit looking physique which I think I am getting pretty close to having but man you must work hard to keep up those muscles :p
