Baby Boomers on their Way to Getting in Shape
FRIDAY, 27 APRIL 2022
Baby boomers looking to get fit or improve their health and fitness abilities now have another resource to turn to for help – and it’s right at their fingertips.
BoomerTowne.com today announced its partnership with fitness expert Denise Austin to provide health, lifestyle and exercise advice. BoomerTowne.com is a new website created to help baby boomers connect with their peers and find information on topics ranging from lifestyle and health to legal and financial matters.
“Regular exercise is especially beneficial for boomers, who may be gaining weight and starting to lose muscle strength as they age,” said Austin. “Exercising can help people regain strength and improve their self-confidence, coping skills, self-esteem and overall feeling of well-being.”
Austin provides information and suggestions on the best exercises for baby boomers, stress-reducing techniques, and tips for creating a personalized fitness plan through an informational webcast. As a member of the BoomerTowne Council, she will also contribute articles relating to nutrition, health and exercise.
In Austin’s Webcast, available on BoomerTowne.com, visitors can learn how to begin or maintain a fitness plan that targets problem areas, make quick and healthy recipes, and learn stretches that will help reduce common aches and pains.
“Physical and mental health are definitely intertwined – you can’t neglect one without impacting the other,” said Austin. “On BoomerTowne.com visitors can learn how to create a balance between the two so that they can live healthier lives.”
