Healthy Shopping and Cooking Tips Offered

RALEIGH, NC � Transformation, Inc., a Raleigh-based health and wellness studio, will host a Grocery Store Tour and Cooking Class on Saturday, August 23. The two-part event will be held at Earth Fare's Brier Creek location from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"We want to show individuals how they can eat in a way that promotes a leaner, healthier body, as well as contributes to overall wellness and peace of mind," says Barry Bragg, president and CEO of Transformation, Inc. "Living a healthy lifestyle will not only open their minds to amazing, fresh foods, but will also encourage creativity in their cooking."

During the Strategic Grocery Store Tour, participants will learn:

how to properly read a food label
secrets that the FDA doesn't want the public to know
the difference between living and dead foods
which "Health" foods to buy and which ones to leave on the shelf
which foods help eliminate fat and which ones will cause fat retention
which chemicals in foods and beverages may be contributing to your health problems and weight gain

The Organic Cooking Class will include:

principles of organic, healthy living
how to prepare tasty, organic, and vegetarian meals
an overview on healthy snacks
samples of healthy foods
recipe ideas
