Women to Take Part in First Scottish Midnight Walk
THURSDAY, 21 AUGUST 2008
Submitted By: Mariangela Silvestre
August 30 marks the first ever Scottish Midnight Walk at Dundee. The all-female walk consists of a 10-mile course that passes through Tay Bridge, Riverside Drive, and Marmalade Pot. The course will begin and finish at Newport-on-Tay's Bridge Carpark.
Although this is an all-female fundraising event, males are welcome as marshal volunteers who are needed for the duration of the race. Finishers of the course will receive a finisher's medal and a bacon butty. Registration costs $12, which includes food, water, and a goody bag. Entry forms should be submitted on or before the 27th of August.
This is a perfect opportunity for women to stay fit and take part in a fundraising event. For more information, contact Helen Hamilton at 07827283598.
