According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDS), 33.8 percent of the American population is obese. CDC studies found that poor diets high in sugar and carbohydrates that are stored as fat were the culprits. The creators of a new insulin control program, Fat Loss Ignition (FLI), believe the system offers a solution to the obesity epidemic.

“Fat Loss Ignition helps use
rs control insulin levels, allowing the body to efficiently utilize sugar and carbohydrates that are consumed,” said Nitin Chhoda, co-creator of FLI. “Users will lose 10 percent of unwanted body weight, a big weight loss, in the first 28 days.”

Developed by fitness professional, Arnel Ricafranca, in conjunction with well-known physical therapist, Nitin Chhoda, the Fat Loss Ignition system allows users to control insulin levels that govern how sugar and carbohydrates are utilized within the body. The body stores fat instead of using it as fuel for everyday tasks when an insulin imbalance occurs.

Carbohydrates are converted to sugar that the body can use to fuel activities. Individuals with an insulin imbalance don’t utilize sugar efficiently. Sugars are stored as fat, leading to obesity and a wide variety of ailments, from diabetes and respiratory problems, to cancer, heart disease and mental health conditions. The CDC estimates obesity results in $147 billion in health care costs each year.

The FLI system provides users with an extensive array of foods that are low in sugar and carbohydrates, along with tasty recipes and preparation instructions that controls insulin imbalances and liberates stored fat. Exercises are provided that work to accelerate the weight loss process.

The FLI system is designed to end unhealthy cravings, boosting metabolism and increasing the body’s fat burning ability, allowing users to eat their favorite foods with slight modifications. The time that meals are consumed is as important as what’s eaten and the FLI system provides users with ways to enhance the body’s ability to regulate insulin through strategic meal planning.

The Fat Loss Ignition system provides a free calculator to show users exactly how much weight they need to lose based on age, gender, height and body frame. There’s no calorie counting and the program abolishes energy crashes, sugar cravings and speeds up metabolisms. An added benefit is the elimination of built up toxins that inhibits the loss of fat.

The system includes the Fat Loss Ignition manual, a quick start guide, and tips to manipulate insulin levels with meal timing. The program’s Supermarket Survival Checklist walks users through healthy food choices and the Exercise Cheat Sheets provides exercises that are effective in insulin control. A journal for tracking exercises is provided, along with an all-access family pass to the FLI Score Calculator.

Fat Loss Ignition stabilizes insulin levels to facilitate the efficient use of sugars and carbohydrates within the body, allowing users to lose fat. The system is appropriate for anyone who wants to lose excess body fat and provides an alternative to traditional weight loss programs that simply focus on losing weight. The FLI creators seek to assist individuals beat obesity, one person at a time.

Univetica’s recent article outlines practical tips for leading healthier, wealthier, and wiser lives. For many, life is not easy and the negative pressures can be difficult to manage at times. But by taking a positive approach to the world and opening yourself up to the possibilities, you can improve yourself while helping contribute to a better world.

Here are 11 steps to improve your
life:

1. Open your mind to other perspectives.
We live in a diverse world, and today’s communication technologies often force us to interact with people whose perspectives on life are far different from our own. Rather than approaching others with misgivings, remember that diversity is what gives our world its vitality.

2. Commit to equity and wisdom.
A society in which people treat each other with respect and fairness often gains from increased collaboration and communal support. In personal and professional interactions be sure to stay committed to equity and wisdom as a way to improve relations and optimize opportunities for success.

3. Make time for good health.
Exercising often is not easy, and although work may not be much easier, we tend to forego exercise in favor of shorter-term objectives. Health is a worthwhile long-term commitment that can pay amazing dividends over time. You owe it to yourself and your family to try and fit in some type of physical activity, even on your busiest days.

4. Learn new things.
There are many practical reasons why learning new things is beneficial. New information keeps the mind active, deepens your existing knowledge, and focuses your interactions with others. Even if it is just reading a book, acquiring a new skill, or picking up a new hobby, learning can help improve the mind and the body.

5. Get your sleep.
The old adage about the benefits of being “early to sleep and early to rise” may not hold true if your job makes you hold unconventional hours, but the basic sentiment may still apply. If you want to be at the top of your capabilities, do not neglect your body’s need for restful sleep.

6. Temper your expectations of others.
The only person you can control is yourself. Try not to let your disappointments with others embitter you or stop you from pursuing your own goals.

7. Spend more time with family and friends.
Good relationships can be life’s greatest gift. Do not take your family and friends for granted as they can enrich almost every aspect of your life.

8. Listen to others.
Sometimes the biggest favor you can do for another person is simply to provide them with a sympathetic ear. This is a great way to earn and keep friends and to further endear yourself to your loved ones. It also expands your own perspective.

9. Volunteer.
Even if only for an hour or two per week, lending time to volunteer for your favorite cause can expand your horizons, give you a welcome sense of satisfaction, provide useful experience, and better your community.

10. Do what you love.
There is nothing truly stopping you from devoting yourself to the things you really want to do. Life is about pursuing our dreams and making a positive impact on the world according to our unique abilities.

11. Be smart with money.
While saving can help you build a long-term nest egg, learning how to master risk is crucial in optimizing your financial future. Be sure to gain financial education as early as possible. It might just be the best investment you will ever make.

Eating Light, Done Right, the aspirational new cookbook from 'Single Mom Next Door' Tania N. Boughton, was announced today. Providing an easy way for moms everywhere to get healthy in the midst of a hectic life, the book uniquely takes common recipes and substitutes high-calorie, high-fat ingredients for healthier options. The results are easy, tasty meals that whole families will love. In Tania’ s words, It’s about learning to cook with common sense. Emphasis on learning.

Drawing from her own emotional eating issues, Tania shares her story directly and honestly, yet with humorous anecdotes on how she was able to stop the emotional roller coaster, learn to love herself, and stop being overweight using sensible eating and cooking practices.

The key to Tania’s weight loss success has been in her proven method of altering recipes and making time for exercise. She knows busy moms are not professional chefs, but by “cooking with common sense,” giving up on taste and favorite foods in order to be healthy is no longer an issue. Tania has tried-and-true recipes that cut out certain ingredients and substitute healthier options. Pizza, lasagna, desserts and more are still enjoyed on the weekly menu.

Intimately understanding how to juggle single parenthood, a professional career, a long distance relationship, attending kids’ sport and school functions and balancing friends and family, Tania knows that moms rarely put themselves first. Actually, it’s usually mom who comes in last, and in many cases, if at all. Tania provides easy-to-understand, insightful ways to make dinner easy and focus on a little “me-time.” It’s a sensible way to achieve the weight loss so many women desperately want, but feel they cannot accomplish.

Tania explains, “My cookbook is all about providing today’s on-the-go’ woman with healthful, nutritious recipes along with some workout and fitness advice from a personal trainer. This is about empowerment, health and making educated and good eating decisions! If you are serious about getting healthy, you are in the right place."

Eating Light, Done Right will launch February 8, 2012, at an exclusive party at Dee Lincoln’s Tasting Room & Bubble Bar in Dallas, TX. The book is available to pre-order by visiting http://eatinglightdoneright.com.

About Eating Light, Done Right:
At several turning points in her life, Tania realized that she, like countless others, had been burying herself in food to deal with the emotional ups and downs of life. The stories she shares are the true confessions of a reformed emotional eater who is trying to balance single motherhood with hectic everyday life.

Tania cooks with common sense by dropping the fat and calorie content from her recipes and substituting healthy alternative ingredients in their place. The result is many delicious and easy-to-prepare recipes that busy women and moms everywhere will be grateful to get their hands on, and kids will love too. Truly, the result is eating light, done right.

About Tania N. Boughton:
Tania is a full time single mom to two little boys, one of whom has Asperger’s syndrome. She also juggles a men’s fashion career with J. Hilburn, a long-term relationship, volunteering for her sons’ PTA, raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and other charities, attending her sons’ sporting activities five nights a week, exercising, writing this book, and tending to the daily cooking, laundry, dry-cleaning, dishes and STRESS that come with modern life. You name it, she does it, because she really IS the mom next door!

Tania, who lives in Dallas, Texas, saw what appeared to be a hole in the self-help/cookbook market as she quickly dropped her baby weight and experienced droves of people at the gym asking “How?” As she dug deeper, she realized that while she had made the decision to stop eating emotionally, many of these people had not. Herein lies the groundwork for Eating Light, Done Right: Simply Sinless Recipes from the Single Mom Next Door. Drawing on her experience in the military counseling troops on weight control, Tania quickly realized that she loved helping people face what was holding them back. This turning point redirected her life in a positive manner.

Countless hours in the kitchen later, burning herself on a near daily basis and stubbornly refusing to purchase thousands of dollars’ worth of fancy cookware, Tania has transformed numerous favorite recipes from full fat, high-calorie “fat bombs” into easy, light recipes that you don’t have to be an “expert at anything” to make. Her approach is frank and light-hearted with the underlying message that if she can do this, anyone can. As she states at the end of nearly every recipe, “Serve hot and enjoy!” Emphasis on enjoy!
